One key objective of the new ECM Strategy 2013-16 is for the association to continue to develop its established role (through the ECM Summer School) as a catalyst for developing future leaders.
For this reason, we launched the ECM Academy in 2014 and are proud to announce the third edition of the ‘ECM Future Leaders Scholarship award ‘ kindly brought to you by our scientific partner – MODUL University in Vienna.
The Scholarship award is a friendly competition based on best practice – open exclusively to members of ECM. It allows one student (who is currently employed by an ECM member organization) to study for a part-time two year MBA at MODUL University. This course would ordinarily cost €25,000. The winner of the competition however joins for free – thanks to the generosity of MODUL University!
The competition is judged on the submission of best practice case studies based on topics/themes that are key to our competitiveness as European Cities. The topics are deliberately linked to the themes of our latest conferences to try and pull various threads together and to encourage further learning. It also enables ECM to gather a great deal of best practice case study material that can be shared amongst members on the intranet or create press releases.
After graduation, the newly qualified MBA student or member city may be invited to give a keynote address on their winning case study at a future ECM conference.
Who qualifies ?
The competition is open exclusively to the members of ECM. Candidates must be employed by an ECM member. All applications must be accompanied by the approval and sign-off of the member CEO, with the attached form. Candidates must fulfill the criteria set by MODUL. For more information, please contact email@example.com
The case study for the year 2015-16 will be the following:
Shared economy – How should city tourism policy scope with this new phenomenon?
Your case study should either demonstrate best practice or provide unique insight or the development or application of a successful strategy.
