Description
Geneva combines the advantages of a small city with the facilities and services usually found in a larger metropolis. Geneva has conference and exhibition centres equipped to accommodate up to 6’500 persons and more than 100’000 square meters (393’600 feet) of exhibition space.Geneva has an International Airport offering direct regular flights to nearly 100 international destinations.
Geneva is the home of the United Nations European Headquarters and of the International Committee of the Red Cross Headquarter. Today, Geneva houses some 200 international governmental and non-governmental organisations such as WTO (World Trade Organisation), WHO (World Health Organisation), ITU (International Telecommunications Union), CERN (European Organisation for Particle Physics) and others.
