The Convention Centre was built in 1990 to complete the facilities of the Fairgrounds and to provide Gijón with a specific venue for the holding of conventions, congresses and other activities.

The Fairgrounds in which the Convention Centre stands occupy an extensive area of some 160,000 square metres constituting a transition between the dense urban setting of Gijón and the beauty and tranquillity of the surrounding countryside. The refurbishing carried out in the first half of 2006 has brought with it a new Main Pavilion.

This emblematic, monumental building is situated outside the city. In March 2007 the old university opened its doors after two years of construction converted into a venue for education, cultural production and the creative industry.

The Aquarium contains a sea of colours and life forms. It also includes an auditorium for meetings and presentations.

Located in the imposing 14 century Valdés Tower, a privileged setting of great natural beauty and historical value, the Castillo de San Cucao is one of the most exceptional spots to celebrate any type of event or meeting, just fifteen minutes from Gijón.

Situated right in the heart of Gijóns Atlantic Botanic Gardens, La Finca occupies the former summer residence of Florencio Valdés, creator of La Isla Estate, today the Historical Botanic Gardens of Gijón.
Hiring La Finca is exclusive and opens up the estate in its entirety for each celebration, so that each event turns out to be unique and always in consonance with our customers´ needs.

The first Atlantic Botanic Gardens in Spain are a surprise for those who are expecting a traditional botanic garden. Here you can wander through a centuries-old wood, stroll among ornamental gardens dating from the 19th century and get to know the flora and vegetation of the Atlantic lands on both sides of the Ocean in both an educational and enjoyable way.

Opened on the land occupied by the former Estación del Norte, the Museum conserves the passenger terminal dating from the end of the 19th century. A space that invites us to recreate the memory of the Asturian railway network, one of the most important in Spain in its day. The museum has a meeting room, while events and receptions may be held in its open-air spaces.

The purpose of the Pueblo de Asturias Folk Museum is to preserve the historical memory of the Asturian people. Opened in 1968, it occupies an area of thirty thousand square metres housing several buildings and a salt-water pond. It has an extensive range of ethnographic exhibits, popular musical instruments, photographs, graphic arts and personal and commercial documents.
The gardened areas between the different buildings that make up the Museum offer an exceptional setting for presentations, receptions, cocktails or espichas (traditional Asturian informal buffet-style cider banquets).
